Kelley & Nick Have the Luck of the Irish!

Kelley and Nick were such a wonderful couple.
Their wedding even made us shed a tear! (ok, that happens a lot),
but the did touch our hearts!
Thanks to Brian Salmon Photography for the great shots!

We carried this celtic pattern from their invites to their ceremony programs.
Of course there was a bagpiper to process her down the aisle!

The Palmer Building served as the site for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.
The stonework there is so pretty!

Kelley's classic white bouquet contained mini callas, stephanotis with pearls, roses and hydrangea.

The girls kicked it up a notch with organic and textured bouquets with kermit mums, dahlias, sweetpeas & stock in shades of purple, fushia and green.

The colors were brought inside to the reception with linens in fushia and eggplant.
The low centerpieces consisted of mounded flowers in a glass cube,
surrounded by votives in smaller glass cubes.

The other half of the arrangements were tall square cylinders filled with various stems and alternating floating candles. The celtic pattern was duplicated again on the table numbers (and also the escort cards.)

A clean, modern cake with sugar flowers modeled after the centerpieces.

Three cheers for Kelley & Nick & their wedding party!
The bridesmaid dresses were from J.Crew -
reasonably priced and can be worn again (no, really!)

Yes, all that work deserves a big kiss!
Congrats to Kelley & Nick, in addition to paying for their wedding,
they just purchased their first home!
We say money well spent and wish them all the best!

Hot of the Press - Ashley & Steve

We are blessed to work with such wonderful couples and families!
Ashley & Steve, who were married in July, are no exception.
We had so much fun working with Ashley & her mom!
Here is the happy couple post-ceremony.
Thanks to Stephanie Chesson Photography for the pics!

Ashley & her girls got ready at the Duke Mansion. She never stopped smiling!

Ashley's bouquet from Flowers in the Cellar -
roses, tuberose, dahlias, stephanotis, and crystals.
Lace from her mom's veil was wrapped around the stems.

The bridesmaids had curly willow and peacock feathers
added to bring in the brown and tiffany blue.

The gorgeous unity candle was lit at Belk Chapel.

A string quartet announced the bride, as her father escorted her down the aisle.

A groomsman performed a Jack Johnson solo.

The reception at The Atrium Uptown was alive with Tiffany Blue and Chocolate Brown.
Escort cards were displayed in trays of coffee beans.

A diagram of each table location also listed each guests name,
for additional ease in finding one's seat.

White flower topiaries rose out of blue mercury glass vases.

Best Impressions created a fun make-your-own loaded baked potato bar.

Cocktail tables framed the dance floor were laced with tiffany blue
and topped with an organic arrangement.

Edible Art created word art on their cake, with words that described the day!

Since her sweetie has a sweet-tooth, Ashley surprised Steve with a cookie bar.
It was decked with a dozen different types of cookies, including these with their initial.

The couple dashed off in a vintage white Rolls Royce from Poffie Girls.
Ashley & Steve, we hope you never stop smiling!

Dana + Robert

Dana and Robert were married one HOT summer day in August!
Here's hoping the romance remans as hot as the weather was that day!
Thanks to Tim at Sayer Photography
(sorry for the copyright on the pics, but it makes for a quicker post!)

Charlotte has so many gorgeous churches -
Dana and Robert were married at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church.
This beautiful architecture doesn't need a lot of decoration!

A contemporary twist on a wedding program.
The Epsicopal Church asks that most of the ceremony is written out,
so this simple beauty is a square trifold.

Since it was the end of summer,
Dana wanted to bring in colors that transitioned from summer to fall.
We used reds, oranges and browns with gold accents.

Roses, lilies and two types of orchids made up Dana's warm bouquet.

With the bride carrying color, the groom's orchids had to be in color as well!

Stems of gerber daisies gave the flower girls a pop of color, without popping the bank!

On to the reception at Byron's South End.
This bridesmaid shows of the chocolate brown dresses.
Flowered leighs were added post-ceremony.
They were brought from Hawaii by one of the members of the wedding party
and represent fertility.

Orchids were glued to a painted gold tree, which held red "leaves" that served as escort cards.

A close up of the cards/leaves.

Orchids were suspended in glass cylinders that lined the ledges at the reception site.

Orchids again were encased in glass and entwined with gold bullion.
The cylinders were then topped with a mix of flowers.
